Black Self-Sufficiency
i dont know why people always deflect in these kinda threads

im primarily concerned about misinformation about my own demographic thats resulting in increased support towards Trump. why yall always deflecting to hispanics and dumb ass whites
Of course, because you can only fathom blaming your own demographic for this issue, even when the increased support from our own demographic was very minute compared to every other ethnicity. In fact, Black American support did not change much at all, even compared to other Black ethnicities in this country, with Black American males at 11% for Trump and other Black ethnicity males at 30% for Trump.

So no, I am not going to accept any argument that we must continually talk down on my ethnicity, when my ethnicity did the most to try to stop this. I am also not going to accept the idea that all Black people must take credit for that growth in support of Trump, when in fact that growth was significantly higher in every other group except Black Americans.

The messaging they used to get the bump in Black votes for Trump in '24 was expert level manipulation.
Yes, it worked very well on other Black ethnicities, far better than it worked on Black Americans. That being the case, I am not going to amalgamate the blame across all Black people, when it’s quite evident that not all Black ethnicities fell for it at the same rate.

Edit Correction: Foreign born Black men voted at 30% for Trump, 2nd generation immigrant Black men voted at 10% for Trump, and US born Black American men voted at 11% for Trump.

Never heard of battleground swing states of the south and Midwest? :beli:

But TLR thinks that it is black people destiny to suffer and work in minimum wage jobs that illegals work in, for Trump is the real master
I live in Florida, what exactly could myself and others Black people do to stop the hoard of Latinos that voted for Trump alomgside white people:jbhmm:

What do you mean "only" blaming my own ethnicity. I'm on a Black forum talking to Black people where I saw Black people either carrying water for Trump, downplaying his danger, or depressing voters for Kamala. Yeah this is where I'm focused :why: and Trump has made steady gains from 2016 to 2025 with our population

It's only "talking down" if you think things like BothSides and KamalaIsIndian made sense as reasons to either not vote or to vote trump, and then are now determined to ignore the tangible proof that our community is suffering severely because of the election

"Both Sides"

"Kamala is indian"

"DEI is for white women only"

New favorite: "This has always happened to us so it doesn't matter"
Got a friend that has all of those cert letters after his name and is out of a job. Got experience out the ass but can’t land interviews nowhere near as easily as last year. Can’t get a callback or even a denial email until months later. Took his pic off of his profile in LinkedIn and changed his name to his first and middle name initials. Yeah, they are gonna skip the hell out of black profiles more than ever now…

Above the fray.
If dudes believed 1/4 of what they were repeating here 4-5 years ago about wealth gaps, they wouldn't dismiss or deflect from what is happening in real time.
Fed. jobs and minority fed. contracts provided middle class stability for a percentage of Black people. Gutting that will have long term effects on overall Black wealth.
