wait, so the initial non-emergency call was placed and the police didn't show up until 5 hrs later after the phone call was made??
That makes this even worse - which means the cop didn't respond to the call on an emergency basis but popped up on the scene 5 hrs later like it was damn hostage situation..

Maybe he didn’t have his strap on him? He went over there not knowing if she had already been killed of if a burglar was actually present. If he goes over there shouting her name and someone comes out and shoot him, then what? True enough he could’ve just minded his business, but what if he wakes up the following morning seeing that his neighbor had been killed? Then he’d wish he had done something. It’s fukked up because he did the right thing, but the rules are always different for us.

There are more white people in this country than black people. So when we're talking about raw numbers, yes, they will always outnumber minorities when it comes to things like this, but we're talking about percentages. Statistically, black people are more likely to be shot by police, whether they are unarmed or armed. If you can't handle discussing that stat and the reasons for why that may be happening, then you probably need to do some self-reflection on why.
