the study the article references states threatened evictions happen to men as well, but men were more likely to confront the landlord & work out some deal than women

it even provided an example of a man practically violently confronting the landlord but still being given a chance to work off his debt doing traditionally male jobs around the building. in comparison, the woman tried to gather up the money she owed, and the landlord interpreted this as her "ducking and dodging him" so he evicted her.


so no, the article is not implying that bw are the main ones or only ones who are bad with managing money.
