no breh there's a misconception here. Obama, stephen A, black radio personalities, they don't sound white to me. speaking proper has nothing to do with it.
personally it's hard for me to explain but I would be able to call someone doing it in real life immediately

can someone chime in here and explain it better?:snoop:
No, I get what you are saying. Their inflections and speech pathology don't deviate much from what you would typically
expect a black man or woman to sound like. They still have the quirks and verbiage that we are used to.

However, what sounds normal to one, will sound fake to another, so live and let live.

I will say this...I live in the V.I. and have a HEAVY caribbean accent but when I'm around people from the states its gone...I can't even explain it :dwillhuh:...nonetheless my vernacular in both cases is proper.

:russ: It's really difficult to find folks like you outside of the net. My husband isnt into anime/manga or games as heavy as I am. I need a friend who can come over n watch stuff with me and lust over guys like Levi or Sebastian Michaelis :mjcry:
We might all need to pitch in on a time-share when we all get our certs and have a "Coli-Con" convention where we can play boggle and
WWF No Mercy and play with Creepy Crawlers while eating Reptar Bars.

:mjcry:Sounds like a dream.

Colorism in Kids shows and media
This is something you never hear discussed, so I wanted to talk about it. The first time I came across colorism in kids media was when I was 7. Being that I was a BRATZ doll fan, one of the things I asked my mom to buy me one day was a Bratz movie that came encased in a plastic purse. Of course I watch the movie and to my surprise, Sasha, the obviously black character with dark skin, Is unrecognizable. In the movie her skin is LIGHT. I even Mistook Sasha for Yasmine, A Hispanic character with light skin. That just goes to show you JUST how far colorism can go. Sasha doll compared to sasha character in movie

Another example is Strawberry Shortcake. I used to watch this show back in the day, so to see that there was an all new version of this classic franchise, I had to tune in. The character that stood out to me the most (Other than Strawberry shortcake) was Orange Blossom. I remember her as having dark skin and kinky textured hair, so to see that she was unrecognizable with straight light hair and light skin infuriated me. I don’t like this trend of making originally BLACK characters racially ambiguous. I understand classic characters get upcycled for the newer generation but this is bull crap. Original Orange Blossom compared to new orange blossom.

you dont know that

instead of jumping to conclusions and conjecturing, why dont you just ask us :skip:

it seems like black women are content with their relationships with black men since yall dismiss attempts at engaging in discourse
You've been on here a year. Where is his epic thread of comprehension and understanding. If you truly wanted a dialogue you would have started one. I can only go by what I see.

Black folk
I know for damn sure I did, and half the time it was simply
for dropping multi-syllabic words mothafukkas ain't heard of.. Even if she has that Valley Girl voice going, that isn't exclusively white, its simply regional.
This the kinda shyt that falls under such conversations as "Acting black." People are who they are.

In a perfect world, aint no such thing as "acting Black" or "talking white". Everything's "all regional and people are who they are".

Down here in reality where the rest of us dwell, that's EXACTLY the way it is.

Join us. This world isn't your favorite ABC After School Special where Mr. Rogers is your neighbor.

(and bruh, just so you know, everybody already knows it doesn't mean that one group has a "monopoly" on one specific trait or another, k?)

If nikkas told you that yo ass sound white then best believe it's because YOU DO.

fukk a multi-syllable word. You must think white people are the only ones who can drop multi-syllable words since whenever you're accused of talking white you think "that must be the reason".

Gatdamn c00ns multiplyin like flies on the Coli :wow:

Bruh go head n talk in your multi-syllable words and your polo shirts potna, you got it :mjlol:

I'll make sure I remember that alllllll the Black lawyers, politicians, teachers, professors, Presidents of United States, who I've heard speak and who sound Black, are actually talking improper and not using "multi-syllable" words. :mjlol:

nikka foh :camby:

:comeon:What the fukk are you on, breh?

I'm over here talking about a common issue, and you gotta turn it into my problem? Mothafukka I wasn't the one telling people to poke

fun at me for packing all Ralph Lauren polo shirts and corduroy pants to my class trip to Springfield, Illinois.

I didn't encourage everyone in 6th grade to look at me weird when I said "I don't want to be pessimistic about the future."

I didn't call myself a "nerd" or "weirdo" when I did a fukking "Hello World" C++ demonstration in my 5th grade class.

:camby:Don't be that guy. It was your type on that shyt, telling me my experiences don't mean shyt.

I'm not the only one who lived like this, and i'm not complaining, im sharing, so if you gotta get the "c00n removal" playbook out

then use that shyt on someone else. fukk outta here with that, buggin ass.

When I see black dudes beating innocent people I tend to think they have something to do with those thug stereotypes. They need to take responsibility, and stop blaming others. Do you see how STUPID your "logic" sounds?
What you said is true though, that how the real world works. But when somebody tries to put nikkas on game, they get the Cosby treatment.
