takes education to build capital, takes a family to build a future to invest in, otherwise these individual wins don't accumulate to collective change. other communities do collective come ups. unmarried but highly educated women will not change or steer their communities any different.
Hi I’m a black woman and I have a bachelors degree in Accounting and a masters degree. My other black female friends have degrees in supply chain, nursing, computer science, engineering and business.
Next thing to say is how in the hell is psychology a bullshyt degree? The mental health of black people is something that doesn’t get enough attention. The level of PTSD this community suffers from is astonishing.

He didn’t say the person HAD TO, though. Obviously you don’t have to save up that much money, but you should if you can. It’ll save you 10s of thousands of dollars in the long run.

The demand is there, but hospitals and private facilities aren't shelling out any competitive salaries for those positions unless you have a Masters and still even then the amount of debt you rack up to get it will never be worth it. Take out 90k in loans to make 45-50k? That makes it worthless financially. Only places that hire raw Psych majors are the crazy houses that pay 11.00 an hour....This ain't it chief....
If the degree doesn't make you money, it is worthless financially. It's an expensive hobby if we are keeping it real. Accounting falls under STEM, thereforen a real and tangible degree.
Mental health isn't important, people need to toughen up.
Unless sis gets PSLF, she is toast.
Accounting is not a STEM major, it falls under business not math. We didn't actually even take that many math classes as undergraduates. Although i do think Business majors are among the few outside of STEM that make real money off their degree's.

Semantics, business is built upon mathematics. Maybe you didn't have to take Diff eq, but you have a tangible degree.
