Somebody said Mcnabb. Mcnabb flat out sucked the last 2 years with Washington and Minnesota so saying he is blackballed is a stretch. What about Daunte Culpepper tho?

Culpepper always sucked. He should give 1/2 his career earnings to Moss

None of these players were blackballed. They just weren't good anymore.

yeah agreed. were talking about players that had short primes and fell off a cliff.

no one gets blackballed in pro sports. Guys like TO did it to themselves by being a pain to deal with.

I don't know if he's been blackballed but I can't believe Donovan McNabb can't be a backup anywhere in the NFL.

Did you see that nikka in Minnesota? :rudy: Maybe if this was football literally and throwing at people's feet counted as a completion.

BLACKBALLED means hear today gone tomorrow never heard from again

No it doesn't.

That's why people are just naming random guys they don't remember being on NBA 2k12.

Stanley Roberts wasn't blackballed. He had weight problems throughout his career and then got kicked out of the league for drugs in 99.

He signed with the Raptors in 03 but got waived.

You ever see Tebow play? :skip:

McNabb led the Eagles to four consecutive NFC East division championships (2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004), five NFC Championship Games (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2008), and one Super Bowl (2004).

He playing at that level now? Hell no.

He play like shyt in Washington and Minnesota? Hell yes.

Can he still play? Maybe.

I'm not arguing that dude should be a starter. I just find it odd that he can't even be a backup or help to mentor some of these younger QBs. Maybe he's unwilling to accept that kind of role and his ego won't let him accept anything other than the opportunity to be the player he was accustomed to being during his Philly heydays--dude was a superstar. But maybe he would and nobody wants to give him a job. I don't think he has reputation for being a difficult personality and he's only 2 years removed from a season in which he had his 3rd-highest QB rating. Something has gotta give.

c/sSome sports franchises want a certain image
:what: iverson PERSONIFIED the pistons' image. THEYRE THE BAD BOYS. and he fit right in with that roster. their leader was rasheed "100X" wallace!! lol @ acting like iverson ambushed the jerry sloan jazz.

You all ignore the fact that AI was pretty bad in detroit, but even more so he was instrumental in destroying the culture that joe dumars cultivated in detroit.

Nobody wants that to happen to them, even for 11pts off the bench a game.

this is bullchit. iverson was used as the scapegoat. detroit was already going downhill before iverson got there. that was the whole point of the trade. and then they had curry coaching, and he did a poor job.

and lets not act like iverson was the only person that had a problem with curry.

and lets please not act like iverson wasnt coming off one of his best years, right before he suddenly transformed into being washed-up.

iverson wasnt even playing like half the time. what excuse did detroit have for them losing all those games when iverson wasnt even on the floor?

I don't think Rodman was but A.I. for sure.

But then again I don't feel sorry for A.I. You can't go around disrespecting coaches thinking the next COACH will come calling ESPECIALLY if your skills are deteriorating. No GM is gonna put their coach in that position. When he was atop of his game as a to 5-10 player in the league, sure you'd take the risk. But the minute your abilities deteriorate if you think you're gonna keep mouthing off then most coaches would rather deal with less skilled players who won't give them no lip 24/7.

See T.O.
