I didn't think it was wack, but Spike's hand has gotten too heavy as a filmmaker, and I thought some of the performances were lackluster, the writing poor, and the story lacking. I liked the themes. I loved the ending shots, but the movie as a whole showed that Spike has lost steps as a director.
