That's the exact reason I like going for it now. You're going to need to convert a 2 point conversion anyway. I'd rather run it now so that if we don't get it I know I need to go for the onside kick now since I'll need the extra possession. If you wait until the second TD and don't get it then it's essentially game over since they aren't playing with as much urgency since it's a one possession game.
