Oh Yeah, he's right. I know a ton of white people so I roll with them when im in the cities. I've only had two small incidents but because I was w/ the white boys they let me in. BS i know, but fukk it. I'll fight that battle another time.

Brehs, I just got an amazing job opportunity that will eventually land me back in the DMV (Crystal City to be exact) but I have to go to Europe for anywhere from 6-18 months. The most likely destination is Germany. I've never been to Europe and have really only heard positive experiences from people of color but i think understandably i'm a lil nervous. What kind of lifestyle can I expect socially, in the work place, etc. I've always heard that racism in the US is some of the worst, is that true?

Im interested to see the responses, this will be a huge move for me

Well, the US Military just left HD last year. People are definitely used to seeing black people so you'll be fine.
You will not be having a hard time with the ladies...

The club scene here is not very good but you will find a lot of bars especially in the old town and they're always fun. If you want to party with other Americans and want "better" clubs you can go to Wiesbaden or Kaiserslautern which are both an hour from here (US Military is still there and if you go to the clubs they usually go to the "ladies" will be even easier...). Or the Orange Club which is in Mannheim (about 25minutes from here).
Frankfurt has a very nice club scene as well and is also an hour from here.

Must see places: Old town, the Castle, if you don't mind hiking you should walk up the "Philosophen Weg", you'll have a great view of the city.

its about 3 hours away from where i am. dont know anything. BUT, ive heard the girls in south germany are even more open to brothers than up here.

Some corny cac told me and my girl at that time to not walk the streets of amsterdam at night. I was like Did i have anything to be concerned about

OP what do you do for work

in supply chain/logistics. Currently work for the biggest company in it's industry as a display assembly manager in a DC in dallas. But a couple of months ago, a recruiter came across my resume and hit me up regarding a huge european company in the food industry that is planning on coming to the US in a couple of years. the specific job is a logistics manager but the cool thing is that there sending all the people they hire in sales, operations, purchasing and supply chain to europe for 6-24 months to learn prior to the start-up in the US.
