Ima ask yall. Does the shyt make food taste any better? Pause. Like cooking on a charcoal grill you get those charcoal flavor. What u get from the griddle? Anything special? I don't get the reasoning.
Convenience and uniform cooking of a variety of things is the appeal. I cook a lot and I have a vertical offset smoker, a Webber kettle style grill and blackstone and all three serve completely different purposes. I wouldn't do a brisket on a blackstone and I wouldn't (can't) do fajitas and hibachi on my big smoker.

The ease/speed of cooking has made meals so much easier, especially with the 36" one. A piece of advice to anybody that just got one or is thinking about getting one is to make sure you clean it up after every use, wipe it down with oil after you clean it, and get some of those cheap aluminum inserts (got like 100 for $15 from Amazon) to prevent your drain trap from getting dirty and rusted over.

Surprised no one has mentioned it yet but cooking outdoors>>>>>>>>>>>

I hate lingering food smells in the house.

Just use a frying pan :dahell:

Frying pan is more hassle and can't cook as much food. And you using 2 to 3 pans. Not to mention the grease build up in your kitchen

I love to cook but hate cooking inside for the reasons you mentioned. I have a covered patio so I'm out on my blackstone 24/7. I don't use my stove top at all for real.

You still have to clean the pan

You have to use 2 to 3 pans to cook as much food

If you overcrowd a pan the food boils.

The blackstone is the superior choice in efficiency. Cooks more food all at once faster and easy cleanup.

You still have to clean your Blackstone too.

There isn't any more grease buildup cooking outside than there is cooking inside. You drain the grease and throw it away. What people have done since grills were grills were put a pan on top of the grill. They did this at parks before they started putting down aluminum foil.

The smallest Blackstone is a 18 by 12 inch. Most people have at least one of those pans.

You're looking at the biggest models and thinking about how much you can cook at once, rather than batches. You gotta remember people have been cooking forever. And these 6 and 8 burner stoves and 12 burner grills are very new compared to how shyt used to be done, and we aren't doing anything new.

I just went out and made some salmon and fried rice.

Whole process from prep to cooking to clean up to oiling down to eating took less than an hour.

The thickness of the stone plays a lot into how well it cooks too.

Your not going to get the same results from thinner stones or materials
