I think enough time has passed for us to see the revelation as fact, gentlemen. Who would've thought after the jumbled mess that was Oxymoron, Schoolboy Q would go on to drop what might go down as one of, if not the best album TDE has ever produced?
This album deserves every bit of the Hellmann's scented critical acclaim Kendrick's last effort recieved. Here, Q drops a quality album that actually has replay value and doesn't have to get by with Macklemore-style vies at credibility. Q doesn't have to lure George Clinton into the studio with fresh acid tabs to be "funky." Q doesn't have white women on hooks singing about "massa take these chains off me!!!" Q can pay homage respect to a deceased man that influenced him without having a cringeworthy faux-interview at the end of his album.
Unfortunately, Blank Face will only see a quarter of that success if anything, but when is genuine quality truly recognized to begin with?
Let's discuss. :isthatafact:
