I don't get it either. Niqqas be leaving NYC to down down south to work two jobs and shyt. Makes no sense to me, but they got grass under their toes so I guess it makes sense.

Dog.....NONE of my homies live in NYC anymore. All of the groomsman from my wedding either live in the dc/md area or in the ATL.

Nah i get it you can get a house down south for 4 hunnid thousand that would be near a mill in nyc plus sittin on acres where in nyc people are on top of each other like cattle

Also i dont really consider md/dc the south but thats another story

I agree. My son goes to Catholic school and they are always looking for a handout. Luckily for his parish they have well to do members that donate quite a few dollars annually to keep their educational and sports activities afloat. I still think there is talent but the discipline isnt there anymore.

Does Riverside and Gauchos AAU still exist?

Riverside later turned into the Metro Hawks but they're basically irrelevant, and the Gauchos lost their Nike sponsorship right after Omar Calhoun graduated so they're irrelevant as well. The premier NYC AAU programs are Team SCAN(Nike), NY Lightning(Nike) and New Heights(Under Armour).

Would agree it's overstated....plenty of D1 kids coming out of the city still. You cant judge it by NBA players. The CHSAA is still one of the best leagues in the country.
Chris McCullough is a BX native but he went to HS in Maine then IMG in Bradenton, FL. Back in the day there woulda been no point in him leaving but shyt ain't the same here.

South is still fairly good if you hold a bachelor's and especially if you hold a master's or higher, however if you are blue collar good luck getting anything near a decent paying job (though this might be everywhere at the moment I will admit)

Damn. Times have seriously changed. I havent played ball in a while but I checked out the Nike tournaments they had in that Park near Barclays on Dean and seen KD come out here and drop a few in the park on Dekalb but other than that I havent heard much about summer tournaments throughout the city. I you tubed a clip of some old NYC ball footage and ran into some from Conrad McRae. I remember son dunked on the rim at Rucker so hard once and bent it.

Does Rucker even exist anymore or was it turned into some outdoor yoga studio?

And edit- yeah I got the Lightning confused with the LI Panthers.
