Yeah i had my eye on him but saw him in a few of the big all satr games he seme soft as shyt

Yall best shot is a few of these african nikkas who grew up in nyc like cheick diallo

Christ the king got a young cat Rawle somethign got alot of talent but will proably fall into the nyc trap like most guards

I like Atkins, but as far as a prospect he is below Whitehead, similar games but not as good. Also, as talked about in this thread with people heading south his family moved to FL but then he came back for his freshman year of HS. I like Prince Ali better, same situation, from the BX but moved to FL when his pops retired. I worked with him back when he was in the youth program of New Heights(him and Atkins were a year apart), Oladipo clone, he just gotta develop a jumper.

I don't get it either. Niqqas be leaving NYC to down down south to work two jobs and shyt. Makes no sense to me, but they got grass under their toes so I guess it makes sense.

Dog.....NONE of my homies live in NYC anymore. All of the groomsman from my wedding either live in the dc/md area or in the ATL.
Even I'm thinking of moving if the opportunity presents itself. Joe Pope who's the MC at Dyckman, he only stays in the BX for the summer. That dude moved to NC, claims it's the best decision he ever made. Once I have enough money to where I can visit here regularly but live elsewhere, I'm doing it. Given how much I travel I should be doing it now

My wife's friend just left her job here for a job down in ATL paying her the SAME six figures she was getting here. Moving expenses and the whole nine. :damn:

They are going to live on ACRES in a friggin mansion.

You'll be amazed at the amount of former drug dealers and former thugs who've reinvented themselves and do well down south.

I dont blame them. My man went from being named "Rock-Lord" to working a 9 to 5 down in Florence, SC.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Would agree it's overstated....plenty of D1 kids coming out of the city still. You cant judge it by NBA players. The CHSAA is still one of the best leagues in the country.

Sure you can, Chicago is putting out D1 players & NBA stars, there's an obvious difference in development and coaching culture.

I don't think the CHSAA is that great anymore, Non-Public league in Jersey had been better than it for a minute, even had a national 1 vs 2 game a few years back. When was the last time a CHSAA team was ranked 1 in the country? Back in the 80s and 90s that was pretty much commonplace.

Too many short nikkas walking around. Ever been to a HS game around here? shyt looks like a 6'2 and under rec league.

This much is true. In HS I was the back-up big playing against Steph and 730 were the guards and SF at my height. At the time their starting big was just shy of 7 feet.

Nah, when you see the insane difference in cost of living you'll get it breh.

And it's not like they're making that much less down south either.

Riverside later turned into the Metro Hawks but they're basically irrelevant, and the Gauchos lost their Nike sponsorship right after Omar Calhoun graduated so they're irrelevant as well. The premier NYC AAU programs are Team SCAN(Nike), NY Lightning(Nike) and New Heights(Under Armour).
Gauchos is just good for their gym in case it rains. That's something else NYC really lacks. Need way more indoor courts.

Yeah the Jersey league is better. The CHSAA isnt what it once was, but it's still extremely competitive. Christ the King...Loughlin..

in front of the building i grew up we always had a tournament when i was young. it made a little spark and came back 5 years ago but it died again. definitely seeing the shift. when i was too young to remember, my dad says big players used to come by all the time. he said mark jackson was a regular and even chris mullin came by a few times in his st johns days. when it made a spark and came back we had jr smith play there and even chris brown came thru a few times (i know he not in the nba but it was a big deal to people in my hood. ill find the video)

now shyt is dead.

yea breezy got blocked and then dunked on :lolbron:

EDIT u can see rihanna at the end too. it was when they first started dating i think.

Speaking of the Catholic schools out here, I drove past Bishop Ford last weekend and they had a "save our school" banner hung up
