I have a question about income spent on food plummeting, how much is that attributed to incredibly unhealthy food being cheaper and much more accessible than actual healthy food. And how many people are eating much more unhealthier because it is cheaper than buying real food. And how many have cut down how much they spend on food because there the cost of living has increased in other areas and they cut their budget for food.

@DEAD7 and his causation without correlation argument 101.

People fly to different countries. :ohhh:

People are therefore birds :jbhmm:

Feel free to add on folks.

Progressives choosing to ignore evidence in favor of personal attack’s.:ohhh:

:mjlol:The left is such a joke.
Look he’s using a liberal site to spew facts we can’t refute, let’s attack him.

:blessed:I love this board.
I look forward to someone attempting to explain how it isn’t competitive markets and privately owned means of production fueling this progress... and crediting progressives/socialist.

SO are you a capitalist or libertarian?
:skip: Does not compute...

Its innovation that has driven most of those advancements, and the wealth generated by competitive markets that has allowed society to pursue the other advancements.

That said, none of the facts have been refuted yet... :mjpls:

because poor people don't create things for other people while rich people do

thus wealth pools to those who provide value to large numbers of people

underneath it all, the economy is still driven by the barter system developed by the egyptians :sas1: poor people don't barter...in a nutshell this is the reason for weatlh disparity

i got an old roommate who started a farm, started with 6 cows in 2015 and now has a herd of 90 (@ $600+ per head of cattle). He will hit a breaking point where he can sell cattle at the same rate he generates them.

floating it with a landscaping business over the course of 2 years :ehh:

in a job, you are paid by one entity (the company). When you are the company you can be paid by multiple entities. If you provide a product/service that is desired more than the money you gain wealth provided the numbers check out

the one thing Dems will never talk about is how capitalism actually works :mjpls: its because their end goal is a pipeline of workers who will never see this opportunity (look at the last 3 generations). To be taken care of is to be a submissive person. Read between the lines :whoo:

:patrice:..poor folks trade their time and labor for a check...the problem is: capitalism discourages workers from asking/demanding/negotiating for a larger share of the wealth their time and labor creates...

Nothing in the article you posted says capitalism/competitive markets paid for anything refute that:mjpls:

could've been taxes for all you know (and remember this dummy says taxation is theft, NOW unless it lowers child labor and increases leisure times, then its :blessed:)

But then where do taxes come from? Don't matter no mo, its for a greater good. Blacks still imprisoned more than anyone else? Don't matter food costs are down .

Your more progressive than you actually let on, knew you'd see the light

I disagree... I believe capitalism cuts both ways(supply and demand).
In sectors of the economy where the supply of skilled workers is low those workers can demand increased compensation.

When the baby boomers are in the dirt we may see a shift towards more of an employees market... depending on how rapidly automation spreads.

So we set the bar for extreme poverty at $1.90 of household consumption per day? Thats a pretty low bar.

And almost all of this poverty being "eliminated" has occurred in china which is skewing these world numbers. China, despite them embracing parts of capitalism, are still very much a command economy as well
