Exactly. Latinos are playing the game right. They can shift a number of votes on any election. Their vote has been a hot topic for at least 10 years now. Even a number of republican candidates have become moderate on immigration issues hoping to get some of their votes. Black folks on the other handWhy should the republicans address our issues when over 90% of us don't vote for them? Do you have idea how politics work?
We give the democrats our votes overwhelmingly and therefore the right to pressurise them for change. The republicans don't owe us anything.

I remember when Mitt Romney in 2012 went to the hood in Philly to talk about helping poor blacks with the education system. He made a number of points and genuinely wanted to help...but they booed him out of there...just because he was a republican.
