Organizations not reflected of the black community in America

80% of organizations that received at least $100k are LGBTQ orgs
I was responding to buddy's post and what was in the actual article. I remember seeing a lot of the money flowing to those kinds of organizations a while back, so I'm not surprised. I was just correcting that post, because it wasn't accurate.

I think a lot of people don't understand how non-profits work. If you can sell a mission/story people give you money. If you structure the organization where your people/family are being a paid a salary, then it is what it is.

I'm in the process of starting up a family/community based non-profit with my family, and after you figure out what the mission statement is and who we're trying to serve, the next pivot is to... how do we pay ourselves for doing the work.

I didn't read the OP yet, but I will now. Don't judge me.

It is what it is, BUT the problem comes in that you have/had smaller chapters mentioning on more than one occasion that they haven’t been receiving any of the funds that the national chapter received. The question is where did all of that money go and rightfully so.

I disagree. If I have the skillset to perform the service and I have the documentation and paperwork for my business, why the fukk wouldn't I pay myself or my people to execute the job?

Best believe all "legitimate non-profits" don't have that type of shyt in place, because it's goofy and some extra try hard shyt.
Hiring them as board members is one thing. Contracting them for 6 figure services is another. Most nonprofits have rules requiring contract services over a certain dollar amount to be put up for bid. Handing out contracts to family is a massive conflict of interest. Unethical as fukk. If any board members got kickbacks, they would likely be in legal trouble.

Even religion is corrupt.

Realize that EVERYTHING material is corrupt.

There's the spiritual. The ideal. The concept.

Then there's the organization. From politics to education to food service to anything imaginable,

Once the people organize and try to deliver the ideal, corruption creeps in every time

Okay… but what about the misuse of funds to:

Pay family members
Buy property for personal use
Funneling money raised off the backs of dead Black men to LGTBQ organizations ran by their friends
Donate to the DNC

Surely this is worth a bar or 2?

Thank you.

On this same site I was defending BLM when the lady looked the house for her self and we’re supporting LGBTQI, but now my opinion has turned I get called a white person :mjlol:

People would still have issues.

Let's say they created positions within BLM for the services that they paid out via contracting and paid them a salary instead. There's multiple ways how to get money within a non-profit.

I read the details and the percentage of bread that the "fam" got paid out of how much they had total isn't crazy.

As someone that is an executive on a number of non-profit boards including a charitable foundation, we have conflict of interest policies that explicitly prohibits contracting services to anyone that has any relationship to the executive staff or the board.

If services are needed, we entertain proposals, and go through a rigorous process to ensure that the person or company providing the services has no relation to the non-profit.

Any legitimate non-profit has conflict of interest policies.

If this were to happen we would have terminated the executive director or board member.
That was the first thing I noticed. How are they on the board (which is unpaid) AND collecting payments for services. All that shyt is a conflict of their Bylaws that they filed the 501c3 and Secretary of State to start it. How was this shyt making it past default EDS’s
