It's not so crazy that Blockbuster declined to buy Netflix but what is dumb as hell is that they didn't immediately copy what Netflix was doing as they started to really takeoff. :mindblown:

It makes more sense that as a brick and mortar national chain, the mail-order video/games model would only benefit you more as a known name in that space. Probably could have crushed Netflix out of existence.
Didn't netflix have the patent tho? I believe i read that

Blockbuster did try to copy it. They just failed at it. total access they called it. You could exchange the mail in movies at the store too. For years that was why I went with them over Netflix.

Breh as early as 3 years ago me and @Liquid was telling dudes on SOHH that streaming and Netflix was the future, dudes was really arguing that Netflix streaming was gonna fail and that fukkin redbox was the future :deadrose: most of the people that run companies like blockbuster and BlackBerry are the same way, can't see the future for shyt even when it smacks them in the face
