Issue with M$ is that they can be "right" about strategy but the how/when matters.
It's like running the 100m versus Usain Bolt in peak form...and the goal is to win the race by finishing with the fastest time....but then M$ says, "no the goal is to complete it with the most steps taken in the first 22.5 meters" but the change up happens only AFTER they run the 100 in 12 seconds.
And then it's "no the way to measure success is by how much oxygen you used in the last 38 meters."
If they outsold PS5 and had an installed base of 200 million consoles, you best believe THAT is the metric they would use. Sony is no different. If they lost on units sold, they'd pivot as well.
