Hell naw lol ps3 had one of the worst launches ever. No good games, no backwards compatibility & yellow death light, disk drive issues and they were super overpriced. They recovered but the launch was trash
The OG ps3 actually had native backwards compatibility with ps2 discs if I’m not mistaken. It was the updated models that took that away
Still one of my most favorite consoles from a h/w perspective ever. True cutting edge tech at the time.

I’m mistaken on the backwards compatibility, I think there were 2 skus for ones that didn’t have it but the launch was still one of the worst Sony has managed.
You trippin, people that got a launch Switch ate when the exploit to crack it was found out.
As for Switch 2 dunking on the PS5 launch... Ain't nobody surprised.
I'll give Sony Stans an out tho, the pandemic really screwed that launch up, so it's not really fair to compare both. We all know the Switch 2 will sell more in the long run tho.

One of the first times in my life I spent 600 and knew I was getting a deal. Because I was always playing on my Xbox 360, my PS3 might be 18 years old in age but it's basically a 2006 Ford Focus with 20,000 miles in 2025.

Well, to be fair, what reasons were there to buy a PS5? Demon Souls and Ratchet & Clank? Let's be real, none of those were sellers. Spiderman 2 was the first game imo that you would get a PS5 for. I guess Final Fantasy XVI, but they came out around the same team iirc. Mario Kart World & adding the DK game are two launch titles that will get people buying a Switch 2 at launch. Also, the power difference between the Switch 1 compared to 2 is very noticeable compared to let say the difference between the PS4 Pro and PS5. So people might just cop the Switch 2 for Metroid Prime 4 and others in a similar situation.
