I mean the console is sold discounted in Japan and considering the price of the OG Switch that's fine. It's the game price is the issue, which we won't see the numbers till the games come out. Though the complainers are obviously all bark & no bite. Prob the same happens when GTA VI comes out.
Now if the annual bullshyt from EA & Ubisoft is marketed at $80 before all the extra stuff like seasonal pass and gamers are still paying full price. Then it's a wrap

Its like Mat Piscatella said, the switch 2 and games will sell out and sell really well in the launch period. People are desperate for new hardware from nintendo after 8 years, and that demand is going to carry them through the holiday season.
but the economic downturn is real and people really are broke. If it wasn’t true, Nintendo wouldn’t have knowingly priced the region-locked version at such a competitive price in Japan. It’s like the current gen systems how sales have slowed due to the lack of price cuts. You’ll have to monitor the long term sales to see whether the pricing was a smart play or not, it could be very front loaded if Nintendo can’t lower the price in two years.
Nintendo gonna fukk around and find out we will only buy games when they go on sale when they are that expensive. Their numbers gonna DROP
