He doesn't have an iconic origin story or any popular comic runs to base a movie on. He was even a DC character until the 80s. Most of these comics character have histories going back to the 40s and manage through all that time to have 3 or 4 classic stories to base a film on, and they generally do the best.

This is just gonna be some screen writer doing cw level plot lines for a big budget film.

Guardians proved you don't need to have been an established hero tho.

This is just gonna be some screen writer doing cw level plot lines for a big budget film.

I mean most of these comic movies have generic plotlines. Outside of the truly good/great ones, the majority of these shyts are all mid at best.

They should just do what CW does with all their dc heroes and give them batman villains and storylines

EDIT: i saw all of young justice they spoiled jaime reyes story i seen the origin, the scrab, how it works where it came from.. etc etc

It's funny because about a decade ago, Young Justice was expertly used to jump start Blue Beetle.

It was essentially a big MCU + Avengers DCU level event that centered on Jaime and the scarab. He was portrayed as basically the Wembyama of destructive alien tech suits, and his antagonist (grown man black beetle) came through and whooped the DC heroes asses almost as a demonstration.

It was all pretty compelling stuff that season, that sold you on both the moniker and the kid. So it's unfortunate bc that's the type of setup that would've been ideal for live-action Blue Beetle; the equivalent to MCU Spidey and BP getting the launching pad from an Avengers-lite/CA:Civil War movie.
