That's Blue Beetle's story though (dating to the comics). The Blue Beetle character has been around since 1939.
I feel ya.
He's not gonna get judged by that criteria though. People are gonna compare it to Venom and shyt like that.
I think there will be more comparisons to Spider-Man. The Jaime Reyes version of Blue Beetle is essentially if Spider-Man primarily wore blue and was Mexican-American.
