i agree

whats a better career

15 albums in 17yrs totaling = i will round up to 45mil(:russ: he hasnt sold that many albums but lets just "say" hes sold 45mil

or

6 albums over - 14yrs totaling 100mil

this consistency talk is a smokescreen for stans to cover up for him not being able to sell like PAC and EM... jay has more albums than both and couldnt even reach half their sales and jay has had a longer career than both

oh but hes the most consistent of all time :shaq2: he has consistently sold half of what em and pac albums sell/sold for 17yrs strait

The illuminati stuff is non-sense, the rest though are good points. Good post bro.

You see, Jay's not in the same situation as Pac and Em. Pac was selling more records dead than he was alive, that's the advantage he took when he died during the peak of his popularity. Jay never had to get himself killed to be put in the position he is today, he's a genius marketer and set himself up for 2 decades of dominance.

As for Eminem, we all know white America is scared of black people. This is why Macklemore was able to blow up as big as he did. Jay-Z had to cloak himself with white mannerisms to succeed as much as he did, BP3 took him that much higher in the white American corporate ladder. Gotta give it up to Jay for defying his skin color :lawd:

i will say that BP3 had a significant impact on Jay-Z's career, but it was not a good album in retrospect. you can't just call an album classic if the music itself isn't up to standards. the album is overhated in my opinion though.

-auto-tune is very alive right now
-the album launched J. Cole's career, which has been somewhat of a disappointment up to this point...Wayne and Kanye and more responsible for Drake and Cudi
-No Id has been a premiere producer for the longest
-and I fail to see how it expanded the age group of fans.

BP3 is not a classic based on sales, naw never that no one is sayin that noise.

But when you focus on all of the points made the influence and impact is undeniable. Why isn't this a classic off of influence and impact alone ..... Its basically like Straight Outta Compton of our age, a pile of steaming hot trash with good iconic singles and a huge impact on the rap game
