And sonically it's just so unique

Listen to "Thank You" and tell me you know feeling it

If you mean unique by trash then yea I agree. That album sound quality is squashed to death. Sounds like he tried to compete with Chronic 2001 loudness and horribly fail.

Still a few good songs here and there on the album though.

felt like an instant classic the moment it dropped.

run this town - smash hit
empire state - smash hit
onto the next one - smash hit

classic production - check
classic rhymes - check (i bet if you scour the coli rite now you will see this album has been quoted hundreds of times. even kendrick paid homage on king kunta)

one of the biggest albums of 2009.

one of the biggest albums of hov's career.

it's not up there with the holy trinity of RD - BP1 - TBA but it's definitely a modern day classic in it's own right.

plus to this day i don't think cats really understand how dope that hate joint was with kanye. one of the slickest tracks he ever did.

great album.

I don't feel like it's classic or close to it but I really liked the album,. Would say it's a 4 mic album, there's some missteps but there's also some joints...

I remember reading people's comments when the album came out and it seemed like people hated that joint, it seemed like I was the only 1 who liked it lol.

It's a shame he regressed like he did on MCHG. That really was an off putting album, was very disappointed.

The Deep State
its was dope, not near classic though
It was one of the last really...like thorough albums. that was just a great complete piece of work.

It may not be "classic" but its just a VERY strong project you can throw on and be pleased with.

Its almost a quintessential rap album in that sense.
