Police are investigating a murder of a local tattoo artist gunned down in Warren.
"I was in the shower with my girlfriend, we heard some shots," said a neighbor. "It sounded like a paintball gun."
But it was a real gun and it fired six shots, a car drives away and 38-year-old Marcus Samuel is dead.

They planned this, they planned this," said Cherenika Samuel, cousin of victim. "Whoever did it, it took a lot of balls to come to the suburbs to do it."
About 9:45 p.m. Monday, Marcus was coming home on Stewart Street, in the Nine Mile and Schoenherr area, when he was gunned down as he got out of this black Hummer SUV.
Marcus was leaving Body Graffiti, on Gratiot in Detroit, also known as "Penitentiary Tattoos." The family says he learned how to tattoo after spending 10 years in prison for manslaughter.
FOX 2: "Do you think Marcus' murder had anything to do with Penitentiary Tattoo?
"No, not even close," said Chris Moore, the victim's cousin. "Not very many felons do 10 years and come out and be a millionaire."
"Marcus he was the sweetest kindest person," Samuel said. "So whoever did this we're letting you know this case will not go cold."

Was the death of Marcus Samuel apart of a criminal conspiracy ? Marcus was gunned down earlier this week in front of his home in Warren Michigan, after Marcus got home he was shot multiple times in front of his home. people who knew Marcus personally said that he had security cameras surrounding his warren property. if this is true where is the footage from the morning he was killed?
Marcus was very popular and loved by everyone who knew him, testaments to his character all say the same thing, he was very nice, smart, and very generous. So no one had a motive to kill this Detroit native in cold blood. after hours of research of Marcus Samuels Facebook page he was seen in numerous live post predicting his own death and seemed to be in fear for his life. Marcus Was a member of the infamous street gang known as BMF ( Black Mafia Family) Founded in Detroit by Demetrius Flenory a.k.a Big Meech. Samuel was seen in a live post saying that he was a frequent visitor and went up to the prison often to see his fellow BMF member then he states that law officials and people in power where trying to pin fake cases on him for a variation of serious crimes. after he disclosed this information on Facebook live he proceeded to say " Im going to come up Dead." foreshadowing his death with tears in his eyes it seemed that Marcus knew his time was coming.
A young successful entrepreneur and business owner he also stated and I quote " when your in the business you have to PAY." these payments where given to city officials and local cops who where trying to shake down (extort) the young business owner. I'm not aware of any other "business" that Marcus was into but by the looks and the sound of things none of it seemed right. another Live post by Marcus shows him fleeing his home because of the presence of F.B.I agents stalking his home and he was in fear for his safety. Last but not least there was ANOTHER Live Facebook post where you will see Samuel in the backseat of a cop car and he is secretly recording and you can read his lips very clear and he say " They On Me, They trying to kill me." was this an assassination ?was the death of this young individual apart of a criminal conspiracy set up and carried out by F.B.I agents or local law officials?
No evidence was found at the scene of the crime and no suspect has been caught or sought after.
