drive themselves back to the depot if you're late with a payment
None of these are the same as paying monthly to access something in a vehicle that you already own.
The manufacturer aka BMW make no direct cash from the used car market besides franchise/dealer fees if they are sold at a licensed BMW dealership breh which is near zero. BMW is in the business of producing cars...NEW cars.Luxury brands used to come with all that shyt included! Getting nickel and dimed isn't a flex, breh. And of course they are worried about the used market, especially with this "chip shortage" that has used cars going for a premium. They want that market, and software licensing can force people to sell through authorized dealers.
Right so why is 18 a month a big deal? U just dropped 100k on a vehicle breh.
These cars are for just getting by folks. By a Kia. Their seats warm when u start the car.
As stated above they don't care about old models. These businesses make money of NEW to dealer Cars and they are learning that subscription services work as well. It's a GOOD business move. Buy stock in the car manufacturers if u wanna offset the 18 a month service. Again if u don't want it then don't subscribe or buy a car that has it anyway.Bruh nickel and dimming on a luxury vehicle is ridiculous. Just because you have the dough to pay don’t mean it makes sense.
Bottom line, BMW and carmakers that do this are getting over on the customer. How the old model gonna do something for free that new model charging a subscription for? It’ll only make sense if they add something totally new to the package.
Y’all know consumers have rights too
