why cant they?
only ohio state and michigan get better recruits than nebraska in the big ten, nebraska gets better recruits than even oregon and a whole heap of other schools I mention.

hell ameer abdullah had offers from usc, auburn, tennessee, and chose nebraska

you get 3 gimme non conference games and then the bottom feeder big ten teams illiiois, nortwhestern, ruters, purdue,

Well of course nebraska isnt as good a job as those but its probably the next unless miami opens up.

But what are we talking about here? Michigan florida miami are 3 or about the top ten jobs in the game...NE is top 15 though

Miami's not a top 10 job breh. I'd be hard pressed to even say it's top 20
-Little to no support from the admin
-low pay for HC and top assistants
-Average facilities
-Local media always looking to bury the hometown team
-small enrollment which = low turnout in stadium an half hour away

Only thing keeping UM from becoming FIU/FAU is the insane amount of local talent in the 305. Most of which WANT to attend. But recruiting in Miami is a gift and a curse. Best talent but easily the most shady and corrupt.

What's so difficult about the question I've asked you all - what is the allure of Tuscaloosa, Auburn, or Wisconsin for recruits?

Those top rated kids go to AU/Bama and such cause they wanna play in the SEC. They want to stay relatively close to home. And lastly they want to get drafted n play in the NFL. Yeah they'd like to win but #1 will always be getting to the league.

Had Bo been turning more of those 2-3 star kids into high draft picks he could have turn their recruiting up and picked up more blue chip kids. Getting 2-3 4 star kids and filling the class with 15+ 2/3 stars isn't enough to win big in CFB. But that's where Nebraska is in 2014, this is the celling now. 9-10 wins.

Yes cause the Ann Arbor, MI and Columbus, OH and Eugene, Or and are premier locations
Get a good coach and nikkas will play anywhere. I've missed all the top 5 classes UCLA has had over the years.

You're looking only at brand names - what about programs like TCU, Baylor, and Oregon that have done more with less? It's all about the leadership. If any school gets the right guys in there, they will succeed.

I hear you but Oregon is basically Nike-town USA and TCU and Baylor is in Texas which a recruiting goldmine. Not ever kid can go to UT or A&M plus they have great offenses that kids want to play in and they're on national TV just as much as the bigger programs. This Nebraska firing has to be ersonality related

not true...their moving to the big 10 was all about the money...they wanted some of that money the big 10 brings in from research and football, they didnt give a damn about running things lol...if they did, that was gonna be a bonus....

as for him getting fired: not surprised...after he shytted on the fans, knew it was only a matter of time....cause he had already ruffled feathers and wasnt really a cornhusker guy from the beginning, so that was the last draw...the fact he had won 9 games every year was the only reason he was around as long as he was....if he wouldve won anything less, he wouldve been gone sooner...

I was just about to say this...after that fan dissing he did his days were numbered unless he got them into the playoffs. I remember going on their board one time just out of curiosity and not to may people that day i went on liked him. Like i know with Clemson it's fans who love Dabo and some that despise him and never felt like he was worthy of the job. But on the Husker site most were like "f' Bum Pisslini" or some shyt like that and had no faith in him at all.
