I'm not surprised at all. All the great shows these days only get 5-6 seasons and then its on to something else. Rips my heart out every time

The "Boardwalk" element has nearly run its course, I think another season is perfect.

That said, I'd be down for a Capone/Lansky/Luciano type spinoff

I think it's true. They're getting geared up for the 70's Rock N' Roll project. Winter is one of the exec producers on it. It makes sense. But who knows, they might end Nucky's storyline and pick up the Chicago & New York storylines for a new spinoff series. I'd prefer that.

I honestly can't wait until the thrown Nucky in the bushes But, they haven't yet to give Luciano that much plot lines like Pone And, what about all the other gangsters they can introduce: Anastasia, Dutch, and even Bumpy, to prolong the series more

Well...
unless we get a spinoff I will be slightly disappointed.

I understand this follows the prohibition era and it ending in 1933
but
we barely have hit 1926 on the show timeline wise

I think 2 years would've been great

But to say they will wrap this up in 8 shows is bullshyt

The best time to leave, is on top. Look what happened with Breaking Bad, it left when the fire was still hot. Now its one of the best series of all time. Could there be more, yeah, but you cannot deny the 5-6 years were absolute fun. Just because not all series have end with a happy ending, it can end with a downer because the character arc says so.
