Being basically bred from birth to play is irrelevant to the argument as that's not what's being discussed. The money wasn't lucrative like that back so of course players and not just in the NBA were going to have to work 2nd jobs to help make it's meet. That's nothing to be ashamed of or clown as it was a different time and age back then. Hell if we're being honest, even 10 years ago in the NBA contracts weren't even close to being what they are now and who made that possible?

It's like comparing the PS1 to the PS5.

For those of us who experienced the release of the PS1 in real time, we were blown away. We had never seen anything like it. We loved it.

But looking back on it, everything is kinda "cringe" when compared to the consoles of today, but even still, we would never shyt on the past consoles because we remember IN REAL TIME how impressed we were and how much fun we had playing it.

No need to compare.

Because in the current basketball culture someone has to be the best and better than others.
