You positively quoted a guy stating that Trump should have pushed Hydroxychloroquine harder, who was quoting a Tweet by a pro-Trump grifter claiming that Africa was having positive results because hydroxychloroquine was widely available there.

If you were trying to make some completely different point that wasn't anywhere in his post or that Tweet then you probably should have said so rather than quoting it positively and expecting people to interpret that you like some unnamed part of the article instead of the actual content of the post and the tweet. Come on now.

I always expect people to read everything.. Kind of obvious you didn't read it either, and just focused in on "hydroxychloroquine", which seems to be a trigger word for a lot of people..

I even pulled a passage from the article that wasn't even in the tweet. That should've prompt people to read more into the article she posted..

I thought people was smart enough to separate a persons interpretation of a situation, vs what actually is happening after they further investigated..

I think that what you said is very interesting, but you are disregarding the fact that we are in very uncharted territory right now with many countries, not just the US, having leaders in charge that do not give a damn about their people.

and if they don't give a damn about their people, why would they care about engaging in sanctions that will cripple China, which is a country that just about every country on the earth does business with?

I have a degree in biophysics, which included a class in microbiology for which I focused on epidemiology as my research project. So when I read the research papers that are being written I can usually understand both what is being said and what is left unsaid. I know two people who are professional epidemiologists (one a chick who went to my school and the other a former coworker of mine), both of whom I've bounced questions and theories off of on occasion. I've also spoken to a professor at my old school whose focus is vaccine research and who has been studying the potential targets for COVID-19 vaccines. And a good friend of mine is an international public health expert who is always bombarding us with the latest info, especially on the situation in poorer countries.

But my credentials aren't that important, because A) people on the internet make shyt up - and B) there are plenty smart people who hold different positions. The more important thing is whether I consistently tell the truth, whether I can back up my shyt with receipts when needed, and whether those receipts come from credible sources. I could be the smartest most credentialed motherfukker in the world and still spout bullshyt.
