He did come up organically. His shmoney dance went viral off vine.. I love it how we have grown black men that are shyttin on a 20 yr old kid, that's just gettin started in hip hop. nikkaz are actually praying and cheerleading for this lil nikkaz downfall :snoop:

Is he Hov, rakim, or Nas? Of course not. He's just a young nikka from Flatbush that has a lil buzz in NY and some of y'all nikkaz are simply hatin and bent out of shape.

There is an obvious generation gap with a lot of y'all nikkaz. He's not soundin like nas, he's not rappin over dj premier beats and smokin L's on projects steps in pissy hallways. He is what the youth of ny are ridin with. nikkaz 20 and under grew up more listenin to Jeezy, Gucci & Ross more than Jay Z.

Just accept it for what it is.
while i agree with the premise of what youre saying he's right. its mediocrity.

you mention jeezy, gucci and ross....but is schmoney dance fukkin with these:

cause i recall that being the first time i heard both.

I've been hearing the standard, "let him cook", "stop hating on a kid", "what have you ever done with your life?", "NY has evolved" drivel throughout this thread and THAT is part of the problem with our hip hop music today. No way in hell the real artists from back in the heyday of NY hip hop let this pass. fukk that being a hater or him being a kid talk. If you wack you are outta here, go work at Mickey D's or be a stick up kid...hell with all that flamboyant dancing go be a back up dancer for Mary J., Puffy or somebody. There used to be standards, and checks and balances in hip hop from both artists and fans. Now we got legends co-signing trash (when 20 years ago this would have got the Sandman at the Apollo treatment) and weak minded fans following suit.

You just killed your entire argument right there. This ain't 20 years ago fam. This is a new day and age. You are simply out of touch with the youth and you don't realize it

He should definitely let Lloyd hop back on his own beat and do a "Hot N!gga" remix with Banks considering it is his song. But I think people are overreacting. Bobby isn't bringing NY back but NY radio has been heavily critized for not supporting local acts. It seems they are over compensating with Bobby. Now I haven't heard all his material so I will reserve judgement but his career is going 0-60 fast but none of this will mean anything if he can't follow up "Hot N!gga".

I don't see what the problem is. He aint preventing you from liking something else. You got Bobby Shmurda for the people who like that style, you got JoeyBada$$ for the people who like that style, you Action Bronson for those that like that style, and then you also got Troy Ave for... um, well I don't really know who Troy Ave is for.

But y'all actin like "Throw Ya Gunz" and "Slam" didn't blow the fukk up 20 years ago. Like diggity Das EFX wasn't poppin (I like Onyx and Das EFX, but they wasn't exactly lyrical monsters)

Lol Bruh. It's just music man. Relax.

Hip hop is a youth movement, as nas puffy and Andre 3000 have said. Let the kids take the music further and get out of their situations like the talented individuals of our generation did. Stop acting like your the end all be all to what's hot. It's 20 million people on the NY metro, who the fukk are you?
the key word there was talented..... For every stupid ass outfit Andre 3000 wore, there was always one consistent thing about him, he had bars, the outfit was his gimmick. these lame nikkas that everybody wants to keep gassing up... chief keef, trinidad james and this nikka, are all gimmick and if any, very little talent... So what if he has the "new york" sound, just because we need a new star in hip hop, it doesnt mean we have to jump on these average ass nikkas bandwagons or dumb our taste down and lower our standards to like this bullshyt...

this thread shouldnt be this long.
This cat is not going to be around that long.

Video blew up off of visuals & a dance...the actual song isnt that good.

EXACTLY!!!!!!! we cant keep saying every new nikka that creates his own buzz is evolving the culture. I called it with trinidad james, and all these other so called new talent that has next, I garuntee 7/15/15 this nikka wont get mentioned on the BC or any top radio station or media outlet, because we would have moved on to the next below average rapper that is "bringing the east coast back" ... these nikkas suck, thats why everyone is in here saying it, his fukking name is shmurda :snoop: thats the cornisest shyt i have ever heard.... I just cant get past that wack shyt to even take him seriously... :camby:
