What I will say is, for people unfamiliar with that lifestyle, this sounds like he's incriminating himself but he isn't. First of all, it likely isn't a secret to law enforcement that he's popped people, and second of all, it's easy to talk about the lifestyle without fear of law enforcement regardless, because depending on how long ago something was, it may be past the statute of limitations, and even if it's within that window, all you have to do is omit specific information that would tie to a specific crime...
Third of all, especially for regular dudes like me who aren't celebrity rappers, it's difficult to find an outlet to talk about your journey thru the streets when you aren't living that way any more. You talk about it the same way people talk about anything else in their lives, but there's alot of ridicule and stigma from multiple angles attached to expressing that part of your life. Talking about your lifestyle in the streets isn't self-snitching unless you're still active and talking about your current movements, which alot of guys do. And these comments aren't directed towards you so much as everyone appalled by him mentioning he sold drugs and shot people...
