Bobby Shmurda and two co-defendants, Chad “rowdy rebel” Marshall and Nicholas McCoy, accepted a plea deal from the prosecution in a court hearing today, agreeing to serve seven years in prison rather than risk trial, which had been scheduled to begin Monday.

Under the deal, Shmurda pled guilty to 4th degree conspiracy, which carries a sentence of 1-3 years, and 2nd degree criminal weapons possession, which carries a sentence of 7 years. The two will be allowed to run concurrently, meaning the young rapper will face a maximum of 7 years in prison.

Is this true?
Damn so he can actually be home relatively soon

I wonder what's the minimum he has to serve

With time served he can probably be home in like 2 years or some shyt

Smart move. He goes through with a trial, he gets life no doubt about it. That's a light sentence.

And no way he does 7 years. Most people don't serve a full sentence. He'll probably do 5. And since he's been in jail for almost 2 years, he'll be out in 3-4 years
Some one posted an article saying 7 is maxing out

He'll probably be home sooner than 3-4 years

Go finish your GED...

When they pretty much let you off with a slap on the wrist.

What it pretty much means, that he never really did shiit in the first place. Wasn't a 3rd/4th degree conspiracy charges?

The Passage of Time
In a Plea deal, you must "Allocute", it is a formal statement made to the court by the defendant who has been found guilty prior to being sentenced. It is part of the criminal procedure. I believe in New York you must allocute to accept a deal i.e. tell the judge what you did. He wasn't going to beat conspiracy anyway, it's the easiest thing to prove especially when you're on a song stating you knew.

They had a bunch of phone calls of the whole crew talking about all kinds of shyt. They could have probably put him away for 10+ years easy if they cared enough.
