I said this from the beginning...I guess if you a billionaire you can name the team what you want...but "Bob"cats was awful ...... Snapping Turtles would have been a better name

Bring back the ...............................................................................

Hornets........umm......... so that means there will be a New Orleans and Charlotte Hornets..... :lupe:

You were a fan, that's cool. Just hilarious to see you talk like they were some storied, prestigious franchise. Forget rings, they never even made it past the second round, breh. :shaq2:

...didn't get far because of teams like the late 90's Bulls, but they still got much farther than the Bobcats ever got

pelicans..... ....makes sense though

If I remember correctly from my N.C. public school education....the Hornets got their name from some thing during the Revolutionary War, when a bunmch of bees attacked some British soldiers.....how true this is I don't know..but I remember a teacher telling us something like this. :yeshrug:

And that poor excuse justifies

 Cmon breh, fukk outta here with that old 90's nostalgia bull

It has nothing to do with nostalgia; the Bobcats are awful. Is that false?

They had one season where they were any good. Why should they get to assume the moniker of a team that was perennially good?

The Hornets were not perennially good and were never CLOSE to great by any standards, and the fact that you think they were proves that it has everything to do with nostalgia. This ain't the Celtics or the Lakers or the Bulls or the Spurs here. Its the Hornets and its not a big deal at all.

I wonder how New Orleans fans feel about their name change. The Pelicans?? There's no greater team as far as name than the New Orleans Jazz. fukk Utah for not givin' New Orleans its' rightful name where it belongs.
