Bobcats Changing Name to Hornets

The Hornets were not perennially good and were never CLOSE to great by any standards, and the fact that you think they were proves that it has everything to do with nostalgia. This ain't the Celtics or the Lakers or the Bulls or the Spurs here. Its the Hornets and its not a big deal at all.

No, it isn't the Celtics, Lakers, Bulls, or Spurs...but they weren't the Bobcats, either. They were better than that. That's my point, chief.

Why would it take that long?

My guess is it may have something to do with all the merchandising. They produce and ship a lot of shyt in advance to market to the public and don't want to waste that. Just a hunch.

And why shouldn't they get the name back? Its not like they're hijacking the shyt, the Hornets started in Charlotte and they're just getting back to their roots. And if they can manage one of these years to win 40-something games and lose in the first round, they'll have recaptured the magic and luster of those 90's Hornets squads lol

they gotta change the arena colors, jerseys, gotta approve the logo gotta come up with a floor plan gotta change all the seats in the arena to the new color
