still think its gonna be a 3 way trade

brook lopez to the bobcats
overall 4th pick to the lakers
dwight howard to the nets

Lakers, Nets, Knicks,Heat, Celtics, Bulls, Magic, and Warriors cant do sign and trades as they're above the luxury tax.

odds aren't on their side.

If you rely on that and it doesn't work out for you, you're gonna fall into a situation that not even rookies will wanna be a part of. They could seriously tank for Wiggins and fukk around and wind up with the more selfish Harrison twin or worse. When more than half the league wants to jump on this Wiggins sweepstakes, 13 teams are gonna be disappointed.

and when you lose so much, in some ways you come to the conclusion that you'll never be Miami or San Antonio or the Lakers, etc. so if the decision is being a treadmill squad or being a perennial loser, sometimes you just don't wanna feel like a perennial loser anymore. Denver operates that way. Milwaukee operates that way. Houston operates that way (and gets sucked off for that mentality). Some teams will take the comfort of the possibility of those 2 home playoff games rather than being an NBA leper. Rebuilding is cool and necessary, but it's not something you wanna spend years upon years doing.

In the NBA, you cant win championships without a superstar (unless you want to bank on a Pistons 10 years ago outlier). If you're Charlotte and a superstar such as native Chris Paul wont ever sign there, your ONLY chance is through the draft. Whether great drafting the OKC way, or stockpile as many picks and cheap young pieces as possible and make trades the Celtics way. Chris Bosh isnt a superstar, will never be a superstar and would not solely even close the gap between the current Bobcats and the 8th seed. Charlotte has to make the pick at #4 , go to the lottery again next season with their pick and most likely the Pistons pick and revisit the trade market.

Ion know bout these draft picks THIS year, but i'd trade Bosh if some quality

guards. You can find any 6'11 stiff to play PF/C nowadays. Plus, this a guard

driven league breh.

The Bobcats may not be worried about winning championships though. Some teams generally already believe they're not winning a title no matter what, so they lower expectations to where making the playoffs is fine enough. The Bobcats have been a playoff team once. They're so far away from a title that it's not worth agonizing over

That would involve a team taking on a whole lot of money from one of those two teams. Ain't nobody that willing to take on that kind of money just to see Dwight in Brooklyn.

Bobcats aren't taking this Gerald Wallace back. Lopez isn't worth $24.5 mil a year to them.

and your numbers are off. Gordon's picking up his option and they might bring back Henderson and Mullens.

numbers are not off -ok add gordon player option @ 13mill to 26 guar
still got plenty of cap space for this move

and to counter wallace bad contract, we could take back sessions who making 5mill

Nets have a 0% chance of unloading Joe Johnson or Gerald Wallace. JJ is 32 with 3 years left on his deal, and Wallace is 31 with 3 years left, with both being highly overpaid. None of the teams with cap room would take that. The only guy the Nets can get rid of is Humphries and even that wouldnt bring them down enough.

No they don't.

Gordon: $13.2
Thomas: $8.7
Sessions: $5
MKG: $4.8
Biyombo: $3
Kemba: $2.5
Haywood: $2
Taylor: $788K

That's $40 mil not including the pick, the $7.7 mil caphold on Gerald Henderson and the $5.6 mil caphold on Mullens. The only way they get plenty of space is if they either amnesty Tyrus Thomas and/or say to hell with signing Henderson and Mullens
