He's dealt with serious injury multiple seasons and mid-30s is kinda old for a 100m runner.
Carl Lewis had amazing longevity but even he fell off in the open hundred by the time he was @32 and focused more on other events.

A good # of the few sprinters to excel in the open 100 after 32 have all kinds of question marks and asterisks next to their names, rumors and prior suspensions, missing invitations to honors and IAAF events.
