The problem is that Bomani didn't know about Drake until he blew up.

People forget Comeback Season and Room for Improvement...but whatever it takes to discredit the man.

Then there are people, like me, who have known Aubrey since they were 12. That's 10 years this dude has been on my tv screens. Degrassi was my shyt, breh. People like that I would say are even harder to move.

Not because Drake isn't a good rapper or because people just love to hate but if you grew up with dude the shyt just feels inauthentic. I can still recall the first time I saw him rap, that's how big of a shock and wtf moment it was. And like @obarth said it could be a completely natural shift in his life based on his experiences but to some people, it does not come off that way.
