lol point is he mastered it enough to make it work. Dude you are the biggest kanye Stan I've seen its scary. I can't give someone the nod at genius status and they have zero technical proficiency and calling a spade a spade next to pop hip hop is the least respect genre. Of course there is racial biased in that conclusion but most of it comes from the laziness associated with sampling music.

Technical proficiency is overrated. Like I said, a person that can play any instrument ain't shyt if they can't figure out how to craft a song. Kanye knows HOW to craft a song.

technical proficiency to me and majority of the world is very important. Improvisation is part of the equation mastering is the other part. Rarely does one put it all together which is why genius is an exclusive club.
People that can do both are very rare. VERY rare. That list is so small it's beyond genius, it's savant level.

Ye has dropped dope shyt for the past 10yrs. Dude is one of the few (if not the only) mainstream cats in hip hop that actually cares about the music, and actually tries new things.
A lot of these hip hop cats are used to people posturing and fronting all the damn time. So its hard for them to see Kanye not trying to say the right things all the time.
