Breh, the following had a platinum album on No Limit
Master P
Silkk The Shocker
C-Murder
Snoop Dogg
Mystikal
Kane & Abel
TRU
Fiend
Mia X
Mean Green Compilation
This is for those that bought the albums from places that scanned for Billboard. I bought all of my cds in Gary, Indiana from Ruffneck Records from a nikka named Mike that used to serve out the back door. He used to charge 18.99 a CD to get it on Thursdays before the Tuesday release date.
No Limit was the streets. If you had knock in your car, playing the latest soldier song was a must.
Your boy Mike messed up, C-Murder said, "jump the street date/ now I gotta come get you"
But back to the topic. I'm not saying they weren't platinum. I'm just saying they weren't pushed like Bad Boy, Rocarella, Ruff Ryders within the industry and in the media.
For example, Mystikal had some dope songs that never got pushed, others did too. Make Em Say Ughh got the industry push and it wasn't the best song.
Actually, believe it or not, for many ppl in the national audience, that song was likely their introduction to P and No Limit.
And that song came out AFTER alot of their best work had already been done.
