Noisey is a division of Vice for music.
Not gonna argue with your statement about Noisey because I agree with you in the sense that the way they cover hood music is wack, but VICE media produces some of the most raw and honest journalism at the moment.

But seriously, isn't this what you Coli knee grows look for in a rapper? Kendrick is really from the mud and speaking on real shyt. More than anyone else in the game. Yet, y'all find anything to discredit him because you like that fake shyt.
And that YG/Kendrick "Really Be Smokin' and Drinkin'" is one of the hardest songs I've heard in a long ass time.

Maybe it's because Compton is like an hour away from me but
I'm ultimately not against them covering artists or the area itself.
What kinda rubs me wrong is exactly how @Concerning VIolence describes
these documentaries. When it's done wrong or terribly it comes off like a form
of blaxploitation where some intrepid lily white explorers venture into the world
of Black American Savagery.
However when done right, it can completely rip away these beliefs and depict
the people in these places and their conditions as human and REAL.
Now I don't know how well this piece was put together, it could go either way.
I might check it out but I'll probably immediately stop fukking with it, if I get vibes
of the former not the latter.
