Just finished up Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson. Took a bit longer to read than expected. I thought this was better than the first book by a lot. I didn't feel that the story dragged at any point which I was surprised by. Kinda thinking about going right to the next book but I don't want to spend this month reading big chunkers

I really liked my darkest prayer by s.a. Cosby. I hope he does a follow up.

I want to find out how Shade knows about him and Skunk. I hope the next book is shade calling him for a job, but more finding out how Shade knows all that shyt because they seemed to be tight and low key

Apparently Netflix is making all the sinners bleed a 9 part mini series. And razorblade tears is supposed to be a movie in the works.

There is a seller on eBay that is selling a bunch of books from Holloway House. HH published a bunch of books from black authors way back in the day.

I copped a few of the Iceman books

Some of the authors in this are in the sale

The books I ordered came in

Read the novella Edgedancer by Brandon Sanderson. It is an expansion of one of the interludes from Words of Radiance but also deals with some of what happened at the end of WoR. I really liked this little story and it opened up a bit more of the lore from Stormlight Archive which really makes me want to continue on with the series now but I think it is best to spread it out. Maybe in November I will read Oathbringer

Had some time on Vacation to finally finish sum shyt.

The Wizard of Earthsea, by Ursula K Le Guin
Not your typical coming of age story for a hero...but more of a self-exploration of all of the things that are born out of the arrogance of some. I can definitely feel the taoist and almost meditative like inspiration. I can also see why the ending might piss some off too. I'm looking forward to opening the Earthsea world up tho.

Troy: The Siege of Troy Retold, by Stephen Fry
Technically, this was the 3rd book in his 'myths retelling' series, but I didn't feel like fukking with Mythos or Age of Heroes just yet. This was pure fukkery wrapped in an ancient world bow lol. I haven't seen this much fukkery and backstabbing since the last Tyler Perry movie :pachaha: . I like this retelling giving it a more down to earth vibe.

No Exit, by Taylor Adams
Listened to this joint on the way byke home. This was more so just to pass the time on the road. About 60 or so pages too long. I dig the claustrophobic feel + life or death decisions that are game like almost, but it was too much monologuing "build up, explode, only to reset" ish happening. Still a decent read tho.

Really dug Wizard of Earthsea. The whole quartet is on point and I really can't pick out which one I liked more.

I'm not finna lie....it took me a minute to get onboard because, Idk, I guess I was expecting more world-building at first as opposed to this self-discovery journey if you will. Like, I was all hyped up when lil breh did his thing with the mist when his village was attacked, then she pumped the breaks on me....hard. Then when he left the school and went on his own personal odyssey if you will, I got re-engaged with it. I'm hoping the rest of the series continues to expand on things for sure.

Kinda. Ged isn't the focus in the next book, and shares the spotlight in the third book. Even still you see progression with him
