I myself don’t listen to New boom bap rappers unless they have an upbeat high energy flow. Badass is one of my favorites but even he isn’t really a traditional boom bap.

this is the best of the 3 you posted. But I still have no desire to play it much. The melodies in the beat are interesting but the drums patterns and actual drum sounds are meh. And dude's voice has no real mic presence. Just squeaking his way through the beat

In general, it's a little better than most imitation boom bap stuff I see/hear on Youtube but it's still bad, breh. Like I said, I don't know how y'all can bump "Against the Grain" then jump into some grooveless shyt like this. It'd kill the vibe. I'd rather jump into 21 Savage. Because at the end of the day, I just wanna hear great hip hop 24/7, regardless of whether it's boom bap or not. At least with Rocky/21/Drake I know I'm not judging them by boom bap standards because they don't really make boom bap - their beats are hard and creative in another way.

But if you're gonna give me boom bap, at least be good. Absoul's a lil iffy in spots but overall he has a lil mic presence and the beat is crazy.

totally agree. But I'm able to sort the actual bangers from the pretenders. And yeah, most of this shyt is soulless/grooveless but there are some great songs in the mix
