I don’t fukk with OP opinions at all. But he’s right. Boom Bap supposed to have a vibe. These nikkas rap the same about the same shyt on every song.

Are we considering any east coast 90s influenced beat as boom bap? I like a few of the artists you mentioned, but while inspired by it, I wouldn't call much of the new stuff boom bap myself

I strongly disagree bro but I respect the opinion. It’s definitely not Preme but I think it’s hot.
It doesn't even have to be Preme. I use Preme as an example because I happened to be listening to some Pitch Black and he's the best to ever do it in boom bap.

You got singers like Jared Evans singing on Statik Selektah beats. You got J Cole making ill boom bap shyt too like Wet Dreamz and what he did with False Prophets. You got Blu, you got Jean Grae, you got Tanya Morgan, you got mello music group and even Oddisee keeping it real and raw. You even got quirky but ill funky indie shyt like what Somaothaship is doing.
