ehhhh honestly... imo sonically anything before 95 tends to sound as far the beats go unless its from some super genius ahead of his time producer... albums from 96 and up like 7 day theory and LAD not really tho

I only listen to the best of the best of 90's producers (paul and juice) so that doesnt sound dated 
I heard French Montana Freak song this weekend, and I recognized the sample immediately was from Lil Vicious. So, I actually liked the song. But, when French started his struggle bars, I just couldn't like the song all the way.
By, the way I love KDot, Fashawn, Blu, Krit, J.Cole, and Joey Badass.
But, I realized it's because they all have some type of 90s element way of rapping.

I could understand the lyrics being dated, but when it comes to the production do you feel it's dated too.
Nope. Some producer are trying to emulate that sound now.

Depends......some songs sound dated, but I still enjoy the hell out of em.....just have to be in a certain mood to listen....
