He ate with LeBron on the Cavs. He then shook a blind owners hand (Gordon Gund) and promised to re-sign to only leave for Salt Lake.

He's never going to be welcomed in Cleveland.

He's up there with Art Modell and Albert Belle.

:russ: That shyt still stings till this day he was Brons co-star I thought he was going to be dominant than he went to Utah....:mjlol:

Melo a short sighted dumb ass for not taking that 2 year deal THEN taking a max like lebron. He could of got his max dough in 2 years and competed for titles for the next 5.

what people dont understand is melo is 30 years old and is coming off of his best season ever... he cant guarantee that he will command a max salary at THIRTY-TWO to THIRTY SEVEN years old...

in fact I honestly cant think of a player outside of Jordan, Lebron and to a lesser extent kobe that would deserve that...

The reason Lebron can take the 2 year deal is because he is 100% certain that he will get a max contract from any of the 30 nba teams when he is 32... for melo that would be near Impossible...

but nah your probably right melo a dumbass.........................................

Why did Chicago lose?

We added McDermott, Mirotic & Gasol while not losing anything of serious value

Thats the most talent we've added in an offseason in forever
Yeah, but two of those guys were from drafts.

The only guy you attracted was Gasol. Who is fine, but not exactly what this team needed.

Not being able to convince Carmelo is a loss. I would have loved to watch that team.

Still... not a bad off-season objectively... just tough considering what it could have been/the team hoped it would be.

And stop prematurely judging our offseason. Houston is trying to get more well rounded/ balanced this season.
No, you're not. You supposed to be trying to win a title. You didn't get bosh. You lost parsons for Ariza. You're going to start Beverly exclusively at the point, and have Canaan as his backup? That's not great, fam.

As far as defensive metrics, they've always been shaky. You can look at what the player they're guarding is shooting from the floor, but even that can be misleading.

Gonna miss Boozer's Adlibs. Yellin out And-One! every time he heard a whistle. "Oh shyt!" after he mistake on defense. All those unnecessary fouls for pushing someone in the back.

:salute: to Booz. Keep gettin them checks. This year you can play 24 minutes a game or less and still make money. You might even get to finish a game :troll:

Bulls can add a couple of decent scorers and be in the finals next season. Bulls didn't lose at all.

Melo not choosing Chicago is HIS loss. He could have a ring his first year with the bulls. Now, barring injury he could watching us in the finals next season. Only would have been a loss for us if adding him made us a playoff team or something or if Miami was still Miami. We can still come out the east with the addition of another guard.

Listen. Let's not get scorned lover with it. I get that Melo had a better situation basketball-wise in Chicago. I'm not doubting that.

But the difference between the Bulls having Melo, and the Bulls having Pau plus pieces... is the difference between competing to come out of the east, maybe.

And being a favorite to win the championship. That's a MASSIVE leap. And as such... is a MASSIVE fall. The bulls could still compete for a championship. they'll still be a great team. But hell... plenty of teams COULD win a championship. You know?

Depends. It's usually points scored per 100 possessions, or a variation of that principle.... with X player on the floor. So his D rating is boosted by having other defensively oriented players on the floor with him.

Other times, it takes into account the amount of points the player YOU'RE GUARDING scores per 100 possessions... so it's tough to tell. But boozer is awful on defense, I don't need a calculator to figure out what I can plainly see.

Goddamn, Chicago and Houston lost this offseason.

chicago lost because of what we thought they could have done......they still improved their team though

the rockets lost lin, parsons, and asik for trevor ariza.....:dead:
