I think cole could easily drop a classic if he developed a rapport with a dope producer. While his production game has steeped up, he's still got a forgettable production style, dude needs some really fresh sounds like GKMC or even LongLive ASAP. Dude has had some classic tracks, but he's currently in that sell records or droptracks conundrum that keeps him from dropping aire classic in favor of something more listenable

Hmmm... Kanye's album will probably sellin in the 600-700K range when it is all said and done... I love the album but as far as purchasing fans, the main target of the album was the critic / hipster community. It doesn't have the pop singles (Gold Digger, Stronger) or the R&B/urban singles (Flashing Lights, Nikkas in Paris, Power, etc), so it is gonna end up his least commercially successful. Check out the iTunes reviews, 3.5 stars, a lot of regular buyers weren't feeling it. That said up here in Manhattan I keep hearing people talk about the album (black and white) so it does have buzz.
Dude had his video premiere on 66 landmarks around the world and people are saying he had very little advertisement.

Good post. A lot of people are not realizing that this is not a core Kanye album. This album is more along the lines of 808 & Heartbreak. Its not built to generate sales. His next album should be more appealing to the masses.
