For better or worse, yeezus will still be way more influential.

Bowie's album Low sold like shyt and a lot of people hated it, but it was the blueprint for a bunch of shyt in the 80s. Funny thing, it was also a disjointed, schizophrenic mess like yeezus.

:rudy: Influential at what?

It sounds like he took some run of the mill electronic shyt and rapped over some Depeche Mode beats with a couple random cuts here and there.

This is album is exactly why music journalists are hilarious. Kanye knows he can halfass and shyt out some mediocre ass album like this and people will STILL dikkride and laud it like it's some incredible stuff

I read on Billboard that Kanye's preparing to release "Black Skinhead" as the single. I guess he's going to release the singles post-release instead of the traditional way. It's nowhere near his best work, but I'd guess the album has legs considering several of the songs are charting on the Hot 100 already. It could mean absolutely nothing, but given how he released this album, it's surprising to see those songs on the charts.

Kanye is just crazy like that. He wants to experiment with new sounds hoping that he starts a new trend :heh:

The last 4 tracks on the album were good IMO :yeshrug:

people knew he was dating Kim K.. people knew they were having a baby..

who the hell knew he dropped "Black Skinhead", muchless a album..? and, when it dropped..? :what:

I swear, yall don't get outside much.. clearly.. this isn't even a conversation to most people.. at all.. if "people know" like yall are claiming.. walk into a room, and ask 10 random people you don't know if they knew about the album.. that'll give you your answer right there..

:what: you could spend 5 minutes on the internet and know ye was dropping an album. the time u spend on hip hop sites =/= the more informed you are about album dates. i could check one blog and know all release dates. i rarely post in the coliseum but i knew when the nba finals were :leon:

not to mention kanye's one of the biggest artists in the world, everyone knew when his album was dropping :heh: stop it.

The millions who chose not to buy his album :umad:

I could perform your dumb ass experiment, and I'd find that more people knew that Ye dropped an album than knew J. Cole existed....yet he still outsold him in week 2. :umad:

"How much do I not give a fukk? Let me show you right now for you give it up"

There were literally no singles for this album. Meaning if you weren't watching SNL or up on those videos projected in the 60 cities that you knew nothing about it. Dudes wanna talk that "he had huge promotion" but this is evidence that Ye didn't. Yeah, he may have spent a huge amount promoting, but the reach for that promotion went as far as a single tv spot and some localized shyt that you can't even appreciate on Youtube.
