Sorry.

I went out in a major city (not revealing which) and heard NO ONE quoting Kendrick or even playing his shyt.

ALL of Drake's shyt had EVERYONE signing/rapping along.

Yall underestimate how powerful this nikka's talent is.

And whats more dangerous is that he understands PRECISELY how he's coming off.

J.Cole lyrically has fell the fukk off. He was never anything amazing but he use to rap with a hunger and somewhat of a purpose. He still using his crutch of saying "nikka" 30 times on a track and never stretches his vocab. I don't expect no mindbowing shyt from the nikka but I can honestly say I don't remember the last time he killed something. As an artist overall I feel he's improved but his rhymes is a half-assed.

Far as impact wise Born Sinner has none. It's a solid 8/10 album nothing more nothing less. GKMC on the other hand was a little more special to the game imo as is brought grade A content back to the mainstream, especially Kendrick as a newcomer westcoast artist. I don't know all that about that classic shyt people are saying, but as far as debuts there hasn't been once since F&L but it's debatable since Kendrick has legitimized himself as a young star in rap.

Way less mainstream popularity compared to lil wayne/young money popularity riding Drake at best is why Kendrick isn't being played as much.
