This thread is so fukking disingenuous. When reparations candidates pop up, yall need to move your asses and support them and any coalition they form which likely means a local candidate. Reparations will not be a national platform to start.
That said, the bill SJR 582 was filed monday. “What are the Democrats going to do about it?” fukking nothing you JAQ offs. Its literally just been filed. Its not in committee or seen any movement since it was just put out there. Can anyone just acknowledge the white supremacist without making up a scenario where the other side shrugs it out? We have plenty of issues with Dems without having to constantly equivocate and hand wave Republicans like you cats dont have a vote. If you like it, you do nothing. If you hate it, you actually talk to representatives and look at their challengers. The very fact this bill was filed is because, duh, reparations are being researched nationally but when someone gets on who wants to follow through, just coting for them is not enough. It seems people arent even ready to do the work to support true reparations candidates.
